Toad Town Online (Japanese: キノコタウンオンライン Kinoko Taun Onrain), commonly abbreviated as TTO, is a HTML5-based online MMORPG designed for children and teenagers between 7 and 14 (but open and intended for all ages) that was developed by Approach Software for Nintendo. Using cartoon Toad/Toadette avatars, players can chat, play mini games, and participate in other activities with one another in the virtual world of the Mushroom Kingdom. The idea for the game was hatched in 2011 and development on the game began in 2012. It was first available as a closed-beta in late 2012. Toad Town Online was first made available to the public on January 1, 2013 on 12:00 PM (El Kadsre Standard Time) and has since then expanded into a large online community. Toad Town Online shares similarities with other popular browser-based online environments such as Animal Jam, Club Penguin, Roblox, and Habbo Hotel. Though a large amount of the game can be played for free, some of the features are not available unless a membership is purchased. The game requires JavaScript enabled and a network connection to run.

In 2015, a new feature similar to Roblox, known as Toad Town Builder, was added. With Toad Town Builder, players are able to create and publish their own rooms using building tools and the programming language Lua. They are also able to add their own clothing items to a catalogue.

The producers and staff behind the creation of TTO are referred to by the acronym TTHQ, standing for Toad Town HeadQuarters. This name is used by TTHQ themselves and is commonly used by players.
