Kammie Universal is a Keclian media franchise. The Kammie Universal characters were created by cartoonist Theresa Kaine for Kammie and Friends, a series of comic strips that debuted in various Keclian newspapers on April 19, 1985. After an eight-year run, the strip was developed into Kammie's World, a half-hour primetime show that was a surprise hit for Network Seven, becoming the first Keclian-produced animated series to land in the Keclians Top 30 ratings in a season (1993–1994). The popularity of Kammie Universal has made it a billion-dollar (KCD) merchandising and media franchise. Alongside the television series, the characters have been featured in a variety of media, including books, comic books, toys, musical releases, and video games.
